Background:
Avocados from Mexico was looking to increase consumer awareness and sales of their product. It was important to the brand to reinforce key benefits of authenticity such as their smooth and creamy taste. It was also important to generate retail excitement and build support for Mexican Avocados in-store and build a consumer database for future relationship marketing emails. Three Grand Prizes were awarded - - a $2,500 check to create an authentic Mexican Fiesta. Other prizes included Everyday Mexican by Rick Bayless and a Mexican Avocados Apron.
Mechanics:
- DJA designed and implemented an offline/online Sweepstakes and Instant Win Game that drove product purchase and website traffic.
- In-store POS advertised the sweepstakes and game.
- Consumers entered the sweepstakes by filling out a sweepstakes entry form or by visiting www.avocadosfrommexico.com where they could also play the instant win game.
Results:
In its third consecutive year, this promotion has seen a double-digit percentage lift in the number of unique entries and number of total entries, over the same period during the pervious promotion.
