Skyline Chili Crosstown Shoot-Out


Client: Skyline Chili

Objective: Provide media focus and generate consumer involvement in Skyline Chili-sponsored event at key college basketball game.

Solution: Consumers get entries at Skyline Chili locations on Pepsi soft drink cups, for instant winner prizes and a chance to win a million dollars by sinking a half-court shot at the basketball game. DJA provided Event Promotion staff to oversee the half-court shot attempt.

Results: DJA arranged for prize award insurance for the million dollar half-court shot, and designed and developed the entire promotion in conjunction with Skyline Chili and Pepsi-Cola. First year results were so strong (including the actual awarding of the million dollar Grand Prize to the consumer who did sink the half-court shot), that the program was repeated intact for a second year.
